We stop alerting once less than this remains before the show. A seat you can't reach in time isn't good news.

How often we check

Every minute catches a seat the moment it comes back. Slower sends fewer, fuller emails.

We send a six-digit code to confirm the address. The same address signs in to the Frontrow app. No password, unsubscribe in one click.

FAQ

What is IMAX 70mm?

Film that runs sideways through the projector, fifteen perforations a frame. It is the largest picture film has ever carried, shown on the largest screens there are, and only 34 rooms in the US and Canada can run it.See the frames and screens to scale.

Which theaters do you cover?

Every IMAX 70mm theater in the US and Canada: all 34 with an IMAX 70mm film projector, 25 in the US and 9 in Canada, across AMC, Regal, Cinemark, Cineplex, Harkins and the independents.

How do IMAX 70mm seat alerts work?

Pick your film, theaters and seats. We check every IMAX 70mm show at all 34 theaters (it's an IMAX seat tracker for IMAX 70mm film) and email you when good seats open or a new showtime posts.

Is it free?

Yes. Free checks every 10 minutes, up to 5 alerts a day. Pro checks every minute and adds exact dates and times: $4.99 a month or $29.99 a year, plus tax.

What counts as a good seat?

You choose: middle and back and centred, anywhere but the front rows, or any seat. The front rows of an IMAX 70mm house never count as good.

Does an alert hold the seat for me?

No. Nobody outside the theater can hold a seat. An alert says the seats were open when we looked, with a link to book. A seat back on a sold-out show often goes within minutes, so we send it the moment we see it.

Do I need the app?

No. Your email and a six-digit code are all it takes. The code creates a Frontrow account, so your watch is already there if you install the app later.

How do I stop the alerts?

Every alert email has a pause link for that watch. You can also pause, edit or delete any watch on your Your watches page. Your data is removed automatically 30 days after your last watch ends; write to [email protected] if you need it sooner.
